Sharing another index in the same vein as the last one — this one focused specifically on Israeli open-data work. It lives at danielrosehill/Israel-Open-Data-Resources and it's a deliberately point-in-time snapshot: a list of repositories, datasets, APIs, and MCP servers that touch Israeli public data, grouped by domain.
Open access data and a list of Israeli data projects
Calling it point-in-time matters. The Israeli open-data scene moves — projects appear, others go quiet, the data.gov.il catalogue itself shifts month to month. The index is a snapshot of what I could find as of the last refresh, not a live registry. If you're using it as a starting point, treat it as such: confirm the upstream repo is still maintained, check the last-commit date, and assume the data shape may have drifted.
What's covered
Roughly fifteen domains, each with its own table. The big ones:
Government & data.gov.il tooling — multiple competing MCP servers wrapping the CKAN catalogue, plus general government-services skills.
Statistics (CBS) — Central Bureau of Statistics MCPs, R packages, explorers.
Knesset, elections & judicial — parliament data, voting records, Supreme Court datasets.
Banking & personal finance — the canonical israeli-bank-scrapers and the dozen-odd projects built on top (MCP wrappers, YNAB importers, Actual Budget bridges, finance dashboards).
Real estate — Nadlan, Yad2, Madlan scrapers and MCPs, plus a handful of housing-finder utilities.
Supermarket prices, health, energy & environment, transport & aviation, public safety, geospatial & land, currency & FX, and a general civic bucket.
A separate section for Israeli datasets on Hugging Face, and one for raw APIs (no wrapper required).
There's also a catalogue snapshots section — point-in-time imports of the data.gov.il CKAN catalogue with an English index, organisation breakdown, and a Hebrew→English translation mapping keyed by dataset slug. The latest snapshot at the time of writing has 1,194 datasets across 61 organisations. There's an import-catalogue.sh script in the repo to refresh it.
Why a separate repo
I already maintain a broader Israeli Open Source Projects index, but it casts a wide net across all kinds of Israeli open-source work. This one is narrower on purpose: only projects that touch open data — government catalogues, statistical APIs, scrapers and parsers for public datasets, and MCP servers that wrap them. Different audience, different question, different page.
Curated index of interesting open-source Israeli projects (data sources, civic tech, finance, careers, real estate, smart home, media). Sibling to Israeli-AI-Tools-And-Ecosystem.
Use it as a starting point
If you're building anything against Israeli public data — a personal-finance tool that pulls from the bank scrapers, an MCP server over CBS statistics, a property-research agent that hits Nadlan, a transit assistant that uses the GTFS feed — start by skimming the relevant section. Most of the wheels have been at least partially invented; you may save yourself a week by forking or wrapping rather than starting clean.
PRs welcome if you spot a project I've missed. And again — point-in-time snapshot. Some links will rot. That's the nature of an index.
