Technical Details

Polls the Oref API every 15 seconds
Alerts persist on map for 30 minutes (5 minutes for pre-warnings)
1,450 pre-computed area polygons from Pikud HaOref data
Built with vanilla HTML/CSS/JS, Leaflet 1.9.4 for mapping
CARTO Voyager tiles (OpenStreetMap)
Capacitor 8 for Android WebView wrapping
Requires Israeli network for Oref API access

Building

To build the app, run npm install to install dependencies, then npx cap sync to synchronize the Capacitor project, and finally use ./gradlew assembleDebug in the android directory to produce a debug APK.
